Coordination with Issues feature on Build

What is Issue Tool:
The Issue Tool is an integrated feature available across several Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) modules, such as Model Coordination, Docs, and Build. It allows users to create, track, and resolve issues collaboratively, streamlining workflows and enhancing communication between different project teams. Issues created in one module can be shared and accessed across other modules.

Benefits:
1.     Improved Coordination:

  • Facilitates real-time collaboration between disciplines, helping teams identify and resolve issues early, avoiding costly mistakes and delays.
  • Enables design and field teams to coordinate effectively within the same ecosystem.

2.     Integration with Revit:

  • Issues created in ACC modules can be viewed and addressed directly within Revit models, enabling better real-time coordination and model updates.

3.     Field Integration:

  • Field teams can provide instant feedback or request information (RFI) by capturing photos, adding markups, and syncing issues to Build. This improves communication between design and construction teams.

Workflow:

Followings workflow is based on Desing Build process to show how Issue tool can benefit both Design Team and Field team.

 

Design Team Coordination:

  • Creating Issues:
    • Any design team member with access to Docs can create an issue directly through a web browser.

 

  • Viewing Issues in Revit:
    • Design team members working in Revit can view issues within the model, respond to them, and update them accordingly.

Now with new enhance feature, user can add issue on published sheet which will display in the Revit.

  • Internal and External Coordination:
    • Issues can be recorded and tracked to enhance collaboration between the internal design team and external consultants or other disciplines.

 

Field Team Feedback:

  • Mobile Accessibility:
    • Field team members can use the Autodesk Construction Cloud mobile app to download sheets and files for offline access in areas with limited internet connectivity.

 

  • Capturing Feedback On-Site:
    • Field teams can:
      • Take photos and mark up issues using mobile devices.

 

      • Sync updates to Build, which automatically updates issues in Docs.
  • RFIs and Feedback:
    • Field teams can create Requests for Information (RFIs) directly tied to issues or provide real-time feedback to design teams, ensuring that necessary model updates are implemented efficiently.

  • The Issue Tool enables seamless communication between design and field teams, reducing miscommunication and errors.

2.     Real-Time Updates:

  • Design team members can address issues promptly within Revit, while field teams can raise concerns directly from the job site using mobile devices.
