Autodesk Desktop Connector Startup Error

Problem:

You are receiving the error message: "Startup Error: Desktop Connector Could not Initialize the Autodesk Identity Manager, prompting shutdown."

Solution:

Uninstalling and Re-installing the Identity Manager Component will resolve this error message.

To uninstall:

  1. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AdskIdentityManager.
  2. Find uninstall.exe and right click on it. "Run as Administrator".
