Revit: How to Revert to Legacy Manage Links Window

Issue:

Revit user is having issues with the new Manage Links window or they prefer the legacy interface.

Cause(s):

The new Manage Links window was introduced in Revit 2025 and loads by default when Revit is launched.

Solution:

Users can follow these steps to revert to the legacy Manage Links dialog:

  1. Close Revit
  2. Navigate to %appdata%\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit 20XX
  3. Open Revit.ini
  4. Under [Misc] section, add: EnableOldManageLinksDialog=1
  5. Save the file
  6. Restart Revit
