Re-install or Repair Microsoft .NET Framework to Fix Autodesk Errors

Issue:

You need to re-install or repair your Microsoft .NET framework to install, update, or run your Autodesk product.

Solutions:

Re-installing the .NET Frameworks

  1. Go to the Windows Control Panel --> Programs and Features.
  2. Uninsall all Microsoft.NET shared frameworks.
  3. Install the newest .NET framework for your operating system  (Older supported versions).

Microsoft .NET Framework Repair Tool

  1. Download and install the Microsoft .NET Framework Repair Tool.
  2. Run the tool and follow the prompts (The tool will attempt to repair any damaged .NET Frameworks on your machine).
  3. If the tool is unable to repair your .NET frameworks logs will be created on your machine. 

Manual Repair through the Windows Control Panel

  1. Open the Windows Control Panel --> Programs and Features.
  2. Right click on the .NET Framework you want to repair and click 'Change'.
  3. Click the 'Repair' button.
  4. This will need to be done for each framework listed in the Control Panel.
