Civil 3D 2018 Not Printing Xref Data Correctly

November 29, 2018 Ryan Wunderlich

Issue:

In Model or Paper Space you have XREF's with AECC Objects that Display Correctly, when Print Previewing or Plotting, they do not show or plot correctly

Causes:
This is a known issue and you need to update your Civil 3D to the latest updates

Solution:
You will have to install and update your Civil 3D by installing these updates in this order:
AutoCAD 2018.1.2
Civil 3D 2018.0.1 Update 64-Bit Update (20.2MB) Released Jun 15, 2017
Civil 3D 2018.2 Update
Map 3D 2018.0.1 Update

The main update that fixes this issue is Civil 3D 2018.0.1 Update 64-Bit Update, and this single update is not included in the other updates for Civil 3D, so you must be sure to install this one.

You can obtain these updates via the Autodesk Desktop App or through your Autodesk Account.

Note: As of 03/19/2024, Civil 3D 2018 is no longer supported by Autodesk. The information contained in this post may no longer be relevant and/or the necessary updates to the product may be inaccessible.
