AutoCAD for Mac 2019 released

AutoCAD for Mac 2019 and AutoCAD LT for Mac 2019 were released on November 27th, 2018.

Here are the new features for AutoCAD for Mac 2019.

  • AutoCAD for Mac and AutoCAD LT for Mac are Now Available in German and Japanese
    • Subscribers have access to all four language options: English, French, German (NEW), and
      Japanese (NEW)
    • Customers can access the new language options by selecting them in the Application Preferences dialog and restarting the program
  • Identify Drawing Differences with DWG Compare
    • DWG Compare is brand new to AutoCAD for Mac with this release
    • Helps identify graphical differences between two revisions of a drawing or Xref
    • Quickly view changes and see clashes. Cycle through revision clouds to view changes one at a time
  • Purge Multiple Objects at Once
    • The Purge command has a new user interface that makes it easy to preview items and Purge multiple types of objects at once
  • Plot Efficiently with Plot Preview
    • The Plot dialog user interface has been improved by moving frequently used options to the top
    • Easily see if you’ve selected the appropriate settings with the new Plot Preview area
  • Create and Insert Views More Quickly While Drawing 
    • The new Views and Viewports feature allows for views to be created while designing
    • A new View Gallery allows named views to be inserted from the toolbar, without the need to adjust the view by zooming in or out.
  • Specify a Default Layer with XREFLAYER
    • Specify a default Xref layer and avoid changing layers with every insert
    • When overrides are applied, a new Xref Overrides layer filter is automatically created for easy identification
