When installing an Autodesk product you get a:
Install Error: (Product Name)
The install couldn't finish
Error 4000
Solution: Corrupted ODIS component- Open Windows Explorer and go to "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AdODIS\V1"
- Right-click on "RemoveODIS.exe" and "Run as administrator". Wait until the uninstall is complete.
- Download "AdODIS-installer.exe ".
- Go to the download location of "AdODIS-Installer.exe" file
- Right-click on "AdODIS-installer.exe" and "Run as administrator" to install.
- Wait until the installation of the AdODIS-installer is completed.
- Try the Autodesk product install again.
- Open Windows Explorer and paste or type the following in the address bar: %PUBLIC%\Documents
- If the "Public Document" folder is not missing you should see:
- If the "Public Document" folder is missing or you get an error, in Windows Explorer, go to C:\Users\Public and create a folder called Public Documents
- Try the Autodesk product install again.
