.NET 10 and Product Version Updates

Applies to:
All Autodesk 2025 and 2026 versions

Issue:
Products start having crashing issues or failure to open after running updates on 2025 or 2026 products.

Causes:
After November 10, 2026 Microsoft will no longer provide support, security fixes, or technical support for .NET 8 and .NET 9. Autodesk is aligning supported products with .NET 10 to maintain supportability and security compliance.  This means that Autodesk is actively updating the programming in Product versions 2025 and 2026 to .NET 10 programming, 2027 products are already using .NET 10.

Solution:
When updating your software, please be sure to update all components, not just one or two pieces.  This ensures that all programs remain running.  Please refer to this post on updating vertical products:

Also, be aware that any installed component (add-ons or Object Enablers) that are installed and not also updated, will have the same crashing / fatal errors until updates as well.
