Model Isn’t Available When Creating a Package via Design Collaboration

October 3, 2025 Gregory Lee

Issue:
The model does not appear when a user attempts to create a Package in Design Collaboration.

Causes:
Although the user may be assigned to the team, their permissions may not be correctly set.

Design Collaboration requires at least “View + Edit” permissions on the team folder to create a package.

Solution:
Verify User Permissions:

  • Go to the Design Collaboration settings in the ACC/BIM 360 project.
  • Locate the relevant team folder.
  • Make sure the checkbox for the team folder is selected.

Manage Team Members:

  • Click "Manage Team Members".
  • Ensure the user has Modify or Edit permissions (View-only access is not sufficient).
