Fabrication CADmep Dimension Error

October 16, 2023 Heather Volk

Issue:
When editing a part in fabrication, an error regarding dimensions keeps popping up:

Causes:
There can be a few reasons why this is popping up. Typically, there is an issue with a dimension being too short to accomplish what you are trying to do. In this example I am trying to add 2” insulation to the outside of this fitting and I am getting the error above.

Solution:
Turn the insulation back to “Off”. Go back to the “Dimensions” tab and extend dimension F. It mentions dimension E to the Branch, but its really having an issue with the length of the branch. In this example the branch length default was set to 2”. I have changed to 6”.
