Title:
Corridor Not Displaying in Section Views
Applies to:
Civil 3D (All Versions with Corridors and Sample Lines)
Issue:
A corridor that is clearly visible in plan view and profile view does not appear in section views created along sample lines. The section views are blank or missing expected corridor geometry.
Causes:
This issue is often caused by one or more of the following:
- The corridor was not sampled when creating the section views.
- The code set style assigned to the section view doesn’t include the required links or shapes.
- The section view style is not displaying corridor components correctly.
- The corridor region is outside the range of the sample lines.
Solution:
Step 1 – Confirm Corridor Is Sampled
- Go to Toolspace > Prospector > Section Views > Sample Line Groups
- Expand your sample line group, then right-click Sample More Sources
- Make sure your corridor is checked. Click OK
Step 2 – Check Code Set Style in Section Views
- Select one of the section views
- Right-click and choose Edit Section View Style
- Go to the Display tab
- Verify that Link, Shape, and Point components are turned ON and set to visible layers
Step 3 – Assign a Proper Code Set Style to Corridor
- Select the corridor in plan view
- On the ribbon, choose Corridor Properties
- Under the Codes tab, make sure the assigned code set style includes components for section display (e.g., links and shapes used by subassemblies)
Step 4 – Rebuild the Corridor and Regenerate Section Views
- Rebuild the corridor (from the ribbon or by right-clicking the corridor in Prospector)
- Type REGENALL to refresh the drawing
- If needed, update the section views by right-clicking the Section View Group > Update Section Views
