BIM 360 Team End-of-Life - What You Should Know

June 6, 2024 Jeremy Smith

The retirement of the  Autodesk BIM 360 Team platform, scheduled for September 30, 2024 is rapidly approaching.  If you have projects on BIM 360 Team, it is important to understand what you need to do in the time remaining so as not to lose files.

Key Dates:

June 30, 2024
  • Desktop Connector will no longer connect to BIM 360 Team
  • BIM 360 Team files will become read-only
  • Can download or copy using Autodesk Replication Tool
September 30, 2024 BIM 360 Team retired.  No access to files

Please note that this end-of-life process is only affecting BIM 360 Team.  There is no impact to projects or data on the "Next-gen" BIM 360 Document Management platform (b360.autodesk.com).  See: What projects does the BIM 360 Team End of Life affect?

You should also review the Autodesk FAQ about the BIM 360 Team end-of-life process.

In summary:  if you have any projects or files stored on BIM 360 team, you should follow the instructions to request access to the Autodesk Replication Tool as soon as possible, as this is the only current means to download/copy files from this platform between now and September 30, 2024.

If you experience issues with accessing projects using the Replication Tool, submit a case directly to Autodesk support
