Are the latest Autodesk AdSSO and Desktop Licensing service compatible with older Autodesk products

October 10, 2023 Ken Williams

Issue:

Are the latest Autodesk AdSSO (Autodesk Single Sign On) and Desktop Licensing services compatible with older Autodesk versions, or do I need to install certain versions of the AdSSO and Desktop Licensing service depending on the Autodesk product version I have installed?

Solution:

Both the AdSSO (Autodesk Single Sign On) and Autodesk Desktop Licensing Service are backward compatible. Autodesk recommends always updating to the latest version of both components, regardless of the product version installed on the machine.  Not updating these components could cause license issues with the Autodesk products.
