How to Determine Revit Version Associated with ACC Project

December 29, 2022 Jeremy Smith

When creating a project on the Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) for collaborating in Revit, it is important to note that only one Revit version (i.e. 2022, 2023, etc) can be used in the project at a time.  This is because once the first Revit model is initiated or saved to the project, the project is locked to this version, unless or until the project is upgraded to a newer version.  This means that the project will not be accessible in any other version of Revit except the one associated with the project.

How can you identify the current version of the ACC project?

You could use the "trial and error" method of opening each version of Revit until you are able to access the project.  But the simplest way to identify the Revit version is for a Project Admin to browse to the Revit Cloud Model Upgrade page in a web browser.  Here are the steps for both BIM 360 and Autodesk Docs platforms:

ACC:

  1. Open a web browser to acc.autodesk.com
  2. Select or search for the project from the pull-down menu in the upper left
  3. Switch to the Docs module
  4. Select Settings > Revit Cloud Model Upgrade

The current Revit version (release) is displayed as shown below

BIM 360:

  1. Open a web browser to b360.autodesk.com
  2. Select or search for the project from the pull-down menu in the upper left
  3. Switch to the Project Admin module
  4. Select Services > Document Management > Revit Cloud Model Upgrade

If no Revit files have been saved to the project, the following will display on the Revit Cloud Model Upgrade page:
