How to get Views to plot in Black and White in Viewports

February 15, 2021 Ryan Wunderlich

Another common issue, is when plotting using Hidden Visual Style, is that the Viewport will not honor the CTB settings.

This comes back to how Hidden Visual Styles use Raster and not Vector plotting.

Note that the Style (CTB) is set to Monochrome

Notice the that the Preview still shows color:

So, what we do is to set the Viewport Active, and open the Layer Dialog.  Once in the LAyers, we set all layers in this Viewport to Color 7 (White)

This will force all entities in this Viewport ONLY to Color white, and will not plot Black & White Correctly.

That is the best solution (when needing only monochrome plots of the viewport).  This is set by Viewport, so any new Viewports will also need this change to be made.
