Create a new Windows Temp folder

  • In Windows Explorer create a new folder off the C: Drive called “adskTemp”.
  • Right click on the folder and select properties.

  • Highlight Everyone group.
  • Check Mark Full Control under Allow.
  • Select OK.

Move your Temp Folder.

  • Right click on top of your Start Button, Select “Settings”.
  • Type Environment in your Search and select “Edit the System Environment variables”.
  • Select the Advanced Tab.
  • Select “Environment Variables…” Button.
  • In the “User variables for <Username>” section at the top Highlight TEMP and select the Edit Button.
  • Copy the existing location for future use (So you can put this back when done).
  • Change the path to the path you created above.
  • Select OK.

Once completed you can move your temp and TMP Folders back to their original location.
