Revit 2025.3 ACC Folder Path Character limit issue

Revit 2025

Issue:
When attempting to link a model, a pop-up appears stating, "The full file name cannot be longer than 255 characters."

Causes:
In Revit 2025 with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), folder names are counted with double the actual characters. For instance, a folder named "Design" is counted as 12 characters instead of 6. As a result, the allowable file path length is significantly reduced compared to previous Revit versions.

Solution:
Autodesk is investigating the issue and plans to release a fix in the near future.

Workaround: Reduce the length of folder names to avoid triggering this issue.
