BIM 360 linking Initiated File Issue

Revit Version: Apply to all Revit versions.

Issue:

File Not Displaying When Linking In Revit

The File is Properly initiated and appears from the Revit Home screen, but does not display when the user tries to link the file.

Causes:

The project name contains a special character that is not allowed in Revit cloud model, BIM 360, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.

Solution:

1. Verify the project name for the presence of any of the prohibited special characters listed below link:

The following special characters aren't allowed with Revit cloud models | BIM 360 | Autodesk Knowledge Network

2. If a prohibited special character is found, access the Project Admin settings and rename the project, avoiding the use of any special characters.

3. Allow 15 to 30 minutes for the changes to be fully reflected in Revit Home Screen.

4. After the process has completed, access the project.
