How to Clear a Specific 360 Model Collaboration Cache and Pac

If you are having trouble with a cloud model the first step to try is getting rid of the saved cache and pac files for the model you are having trouble with.

This process is looking for a specific project and model.  If you want to clear all of the cache for all models please refer to this blog post:  https://resources.imaginit.com/support-blog/how-to-clear-all-bim-360-cache

You will need to determine the Project and Model guid from the journal file so you know which model to clear.
          1.    Identity the project and model guid
Journal Location
C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit 201#\Journals\Journal.####.txt

Search the journal for the guids by looking for CLD:\\ and the corresponding model name.  Note the one with the following below it SLOG  local=

In the example below I am looking for information on the Arch model.  You will see the cache guid in green, project guid highlighted in orange and the model guid highlighted in yellow

          2.    Identify the Collaboration Cache Root folder:
Cache Location
Search the journal for CollaborationCache. The typical location is shown below.
C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit 20##\CollaborationCache

Before you clear the cache, make sure Revit is closed.
Process to Clear a Cloud Model
Create a folder to move the files to somewhere on your system.  Ex: C:\Old360 with subfolders for CentralCache and PacCache
1.    Move the local copy of the model and its backup folder in the following path to the folder you created.

Collaboration Cache Root>\<Project GUID>\<Model GUID>.rvt
1.

2.    Move the central cache file in the following path to a CentralCache sub folder in the folder you created.

 <Collaboration Cache Root>\<Project GUID>\CentralCache\<Model GUID>.rvt
1.

3.    Move the model folder in the PacCache to a PacCache subfolder in the folder you created.
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Revit\PacCache\<Model GUID>
1.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Once this is done by all users they can open Revit and browse to the hub/project/file to pull a new “local” file.  Do not open via the recent screen.

Clear Windows Temp Files
Delete as much as you can from the temp folder.  You can see how to do this in this blog link.
https://knowledge.autodesk.com/search-result/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-delete-temporary-files-in-Windows.html
If something will not let you delete it click Skip. *AppData is a hidden folder. Here is Microsoft's steps on how to show hidden folders: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/14201/windowsshow-hidden-files
