Find the expiration date in an Autodesk license file

November 30, -0001 Ken Williams

Issue:

To find out when your Autodesk license file is expiring or has expired.

Solution:

There are 2 options to find the expiration date of the Autodesk license file.

Option 1:

1. Right-click on the license file and choose "Edit in Notepad"

2. Next to "Increment" in the Autodesk license file. You will see the expiration date. This is the expiration date of the Autodesk license. The file will expire on this date, not 30 days after. This is the expiration date of the license in the file.  Keep in mind that you may have more than one contract or serial number in your license file. The other contracts or serial numbers may have different expiration dates.

Option 2:

  1. Open the URL https://licenseparser.autodesk.com/
  2. You can drag and drop the license file into the license parser tool or browse and upload the file.
  3. After you drag and drop or browse the Autodesk license file, the "Parse License File" button should darken. Click the button. (If the button is still gray, you need to choose the file again.)
  4. Choose the "Packages" button on the left side.
  5. Under "Expiration" is the date the license expires in the Autodesk license file. You may have different expiration dates for other contracts or serial numbers in the license file.
