Civil 3D Grading Optimization missing the 2024 selection under Custom Install

November 20, 2023 Jeff Lotan

Issue:

You are trying to create a custom install for Grading Optimization 2024, but it only allows you up to 2023.1.1 Hotfix.

Cause:

It has been moved from being its own program to download/create a deployment to being a selectable item within Civil 3D.

Solution:

The Civil 3D – Grading Optimization is included in the main Civil 3D selections now.

Select the Civil 3D option and select “Latest version...”

OR you can select “Specific version…” and select the version you need.

Using latest version and expand the “Extensions” section.  It is about half-way down the list.

This saves us a bit of time as we no longer have to create and install/push out multiple deployments.
