AutoCAD: How to get your Classic Hatch Dialog back

Issue:

When the newer version of AutoCAD came out. They started using a new Ribbon based hatch Command. However you would like to get your Classic Hatch Dialog back.

Causes:

Redesign of the AutoCAD Software.

Solution:

Steps to get your Classic Hatch Dialog back

  • Launch AutoCAD and start a drawing.
  • In the command line type HPDLGMODE and select the <Enter> Key on your Keyboard.
  • Type 1 as the new Vault and select the <Enter> Key on your Keyboard.

Your Hatch Dialog box should now open when you run the Hatch command.

0 - Hatch and Gradient dialog box is not displayed for HATCH and GRADIENT unless Settings is entered at the Command prompt.

1 - Hatch and Gradient dialog box is displayed for HATCH and GRADIENT.

2 - Hatch and Gradient dialog box is not displayed for HATCH and GRADIENT when the ribbon is active (RIBBONSTATE = 1). When the ribbon is inactive (RIBBONSTATE = 0), the Hatch and Gradient dialog box is displayed.
