This guide is for users who understand how to build a basic Revit family and apply parameters to control the family.

The guide is divided into 6 sections:

  1. Assessing family structure of Door-Passage-Single-Flush.rfa.
  2. Adding Door Swing Parameter.

  4. Creating Door Accessary Family.
  5. Adding Door Panel Swap parameter.
  6. Modifying Door Handle Family.

Modifying the door handle family:

  1. Open the Door handle family in the family editor.
  2. Add the Door panel thickness parameter on the reference plane.
  3. Mirror the door handle object and locate it below the newly added reference plane.
  4. Load the door handle family into the door family.
  5. Map Door handle family parameter to Door family.
  6. You can add more panel types and handle types using the same method.
