Floating Windows in AutoCAD-based products not scaling when moved to a different screen

April 9, 2021 Ryan Wunderlich

Issue:
You have multiple screens that have different scaling factors in Windows
For example, on my system I have three (3) screens:

Screens 2 & 3 are standard HD (1920 x 1080 resolution) and are scaled at 100%.  Screen 1, is UHD (4K - 3840 x 2160 resolution) and is scaled to 200%
If I drag a tab from AutoCAD (that normally is on screen 1), and drag it to screen 2 or 3, it maintains it's 200% scaling and doesn't adapt to the current screen scaling, and will not fit correctly  on either screen.

Causes:
This is currently by design, as the scaling from the dragged window is using the current scaling of the screen AutoCAD is running on

Solution:
When you drag a tab off to a differently scaled screen, simply resize it to fit
