Issue:
Inviting a new user Autodesk account into User Management produces a formatting error.
Causes:
This error can occur if the username for the Autodesk account (First name, Last name, and email address) is formatted incorrectly. However, it can also occur if the user’s First Name or Last Name includes one of Autodesk’s restricted words. The following words, phrases, and special characters are not allowed in the username invite : "admin","Autodesk","employee","moderator","support", profane words, "https%3A","www.",":","/","%"
*These restricted words do not apply to email addresses*
Solution:
Often a Secondary Admin needs to be added to User Management to help manage licenses. The email address for the Secondary admin may not be associated to an Autodesk account and may be a generic IT or admin email address. The first instinct when inviting the user may be to include a restricted word, such as admin, in the username.
The word “Admin” is used in the above example but will produce the Formatting error shown at the beginning of the article. Instead of Admin, choose a word such as “Administrator”, that is not on the list of Autodesk restricted usernames.
