AutoCAD: Relative Path External References are missing when reopened

Issue:

AutoCAD: Relative Path External References are missing when reopened.

(PDF’s, Raster Images, etc)

Solution:

Use absolute path.

  • Type “XREF” at the command line and select the <Enter> Key on the keyboard.
  • Find the External Reference in question.
  • Right Click on the External Reference and select Change Path Type, select Absolute.
