AutoCAD for Mac 2020 loses bold and italic style in printed PDF

June 9, 2021 Bob Felton

Issue:

When plotting from AutoCAD for Mac 2020, any text that should be bolded or italicized is printing in a PDF without either bold or italics.

Causes:

This is a known defect with AutoCAD for Mac 2020 and AutoCAD LT 2020 for Mac when running in Big Sur, macOS 11, and up.

Solution:

Locate, download, and install the AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT for Mac 2020.2.1 Hotfix that should appear at the top right of the screen when running AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT.
