Inventor Professional-'Error 16' exporting or importing to Revit

Issue:

Unable to export to Revit RFA or RVT or import an RVT file in Inventor.  This error pops up:

 Error 16 -Accessing a Revit file is currently unavailable. Please try again.

Solution:

Apply the solutions provided in this article on Error 16-How to repair Autodesk Interoperability Engine Manager.

  1. Install the latest Autodesk Interoperability Engine Manager.
  2. If this doesn't get rid of the error, perform a clean uninstall and reinstall of Inventor. Get a full download of Inventor to reinstall with.
