Working with Hexagon’s New HxDR Data Flow App

In the ever-evolving landscape of technology, there's a constant push towards innovation that enhances how we work, collaborate, and create. One such groundbreaking development comes from Hexagon, a leading provider of sensor, software, and autonomous solutions. Their latest offering, Reality Cloud Studio, represents a significant leap forward in the realm of collaboration, particularly in industries that rely heavily on spatial data and visualization.

Reality Cloud Studio is a cloud-based platform designed to revolutionize the way teams collaborate on complex projects. At its core, it leverages the power of spatial data to create immersive experiences that transcend geographical boundaries. Whether it's architects designing a new building, urban planners mapping out a cityscape, or engineers optimizing industrial processes, Reality Cloud Studio offers a unified environment where stakeholders can interact with 3D models, point clouds, and other spatial datasets in real-time.

The first step to collaborating with Reality Cloud Studio is to up load data to it. There are many differet ways to up load data, not least of which being the Data Flow app.

To download the Data Flow app, log in to your Reality Cloud Studio account at hxdr.app/login. Once logged in, expand the hamburger menu on the left-hand side; there is an option to download the HxDR Data Flow app. Download and install the app to your computer.

Once installed, log in with the same credentials as used for Reality Cloud Studio. After logging in the app opens on the Upload Manager page:

Uploading data is done in the Projects area of the app. Click on the “Go to projects to upload” button or expand the hamburger menu on the left to get to Projects.

The projects area is a copy of the projects area found on Reality Cloud Studio. Here you can create a new project in the same way.

Once a project has been created select on the project and add data and assets as you normally would. Your data has now been uploaded and is being stored in Reality Cloud Studio.

As we look ahead, the significance of collaboration in driving innovation and progress cannot be overstated. Hexagon's Reality Cloud Studio represents a paradigm shift in how teams collaborate and interact with spatial data. By breaking down geographical barriers and facilitating real-time communication, the platform empowers organizations to tackle complex challenges with confidence and efficiency.
