Civil 3D Geolocation at government or high security offices

Issue:

You work at an organization with higher than baseline security and have already checked the basics of having a coordinate system set in the drawing, and Geolocation and aerial background maps are not displating correctly in Civil 3D.

Causes:

Organization firewalls are blocking the neccessary relay addresses which are used for Geolocation.

Solution:

 Engage IT department to 'whitelist' a specific list of addresses in the firewall.

Once the IT department has whitelisted the above addresses, check for Geolocation function.
