While trying to reuse styles from one drawing to another more than what was desired was being migrated.  Things like Layers and Text Styles were coming over.  Found the cause to be connected to settings in three (3) key places:

  • Drawing Settings
  • Category Setting
  • Style Settings

Drawing Settings:  YELLOW layer1

Object Category:  BLUE layer2

Object Style:  RED layer3
