Assembly mass in drawing text shows incorrect value

Issue:

In Inventor 2023-2024, the total assembly mass in a drawing text note shows an incorrect value.  

This occurs after placing multiple instances of the same component, that has a mass override, in an assembly. 

For example a component, that has a mass override:

Is placed twice in an assembly,  to a total of 2x component mass:

The drawing text note show an incorrect total assembly mass value:

Cause:

This is a confirmed issue in Inventor 2023-2024 in the following Autodesk knowledge base article.

And is fixed in Inventor 2025:Inaccurate weight values with override present in drawing in Inventor

Solution:

If possible migrate to Inventor 2025.

In Inventor 2023-2024: Use Place Component instead of Copy/Pasting a new instance of the part into the assembly.
