Vault tab doesn't appear in the Inventor 2022 explorer tree

Issue:

Starting with the new installation of the Autodesk Vault 2022 client (including Basic, Workgroup, and Professional versions), the method to load add-ins for CAD applications like AutoCAD and Inventor, etc has changed from previous versions.

Causes:

Because of the new Forge installer for Vault, there is no longer an Add or Remove Features where the Vault Add-ins can be selected as in earlier versions as detailed here.

The Add or Remove Features procedure to load the Vault Add-in before Vault 2022 is no longer available.

The new Forge installer for Vault 2022 and later does not have Add or Remove Features available.

Solution:

To correct this when Inventor has been installed after Vault, so that the Vault tab will be available in the Inventor explorer tree and also in the ribbon, use the Tools > Add-ins feature.

Select Inventor Vault and check 'Loaded/Unloaded' and 'Load Automatically' under Load Behavior.
