Revit Project Browser is not working properly

Issue:

  • The Project Browser disappears and cannot be brought back.
  • The Project Browser freezes and cannot be interacted with.

Causes:

There could be several factors that trigger these issues:

  • The Project Browser is located outside the displayed area.
  • The User Interface system file is corrupted.

Solution:


Project Browser Disappears and Cannot Be Brought Back:

1.     Turn off all monitors except for one if you are using multiple monitors.

2.     Change the display resolution to a lower resolution.

3.     Change back to the recommended resolution.

 

 

Project Browser Freezes and Cannot Be Interacted With:

1.     Open Windows File Explorer.

2.     Navigate to %APPDATA%\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit 2020\<language>

3.     Delete UIState.dat

4.     Open Revit
