How to link BIM 360 Docs files into Revit cloud workshare models

These are the steps to take if you need to link a model from BIM 360 Docs or Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) into your Revit cloud workshare model.

How to link cloud workshare Revit models

Open your Revit cloud model and go to the Insert tab.

Click on 'Link Revit'

Click on External Resource then click on Autodesk Docs.

Navigate to the project > the project folder > Project file.

How to link Revit non cloud workshare models

Here is a blog on How to upload Revit models to the cloud

Open your Revit cloud model and go to the Insert tab.

Click on 'Link Revit'

In the Revit link/import dialog box click on the drop down menu under Look in and navigate to C:\Users\User login name\DC

Click on ACCDocs (folder location changed with the Desktop Connecter V16)

Navigate to the project > the project folder > Project file.

How to link dwg files

First install the Autodesk Desktop Connector from your Autodesk account

Open your Revit cloud model and go to the Insert tab.

Click on 'Link CAD'

In the Link CAD format dialog box click on the drop down menu under Look in and navigate to C:\Users\User login name\DC

Click on ACCDocs

Navigate to the project > the project folder > Project file.
