This is an update to the Project Explorer series that was presented in the following blogs:
No need to look far for the new location of the button to launch Project Explorer as it is now located on the Home tab of the ribbon.
One of the many feature enhancements that Autodesk focused on with the release of Civil 3D 2022 was pressure pipe networks. Maintaining that emphasis, pressure pipe networks are now a supported feature in Project Explorer.
A new object tab at the top of Project Explorer for Pressure Pipe Networks opens the environment. The environment continues the same experience as with the other objects, containing a profile view, object list pane, and sub-object list pane. If you are familiar with the benefit of quickly finding and editing information that Project Explorer affords, you will appreciate the ability this addition provides for pressure pipe networks which includes the new pipe run feature. Viewing and editing network or part properties by either a single part or multiple is included. Right click on the pressure network or an individual part will expose additional tools such as changing the styles or generating reports. Reports are one of the major benefits of Project Explorer and support for pressure networks expands this value. Object sets provide a means for assembling information from multiple resources and automating reports on the data which now includes pressure pipe networks and parts.
