OLE Edit from Excel referencing DWG TrueView and cannot be changed to AutoCAD

Issue:

After installing DWG True View when trying to open an OLE object in Excel you only have the choice of DWGTrueView:

Causes:

This is caused by a registry key that needs to be reset

Solution:

Open Regedit.exe (the Registry Editor)

And navigate to this key:

Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{74D0CE91-F931-4FAC-BEA9-EE32E43EAD37}\AutoConvertTo

Double click on (Default) to edit the Entry

Empty the Value Data entirely and click OK, then close the Registry Editor, reboot your machine and then confirm you can now Edit the OLE object with AutoCAD

Warning! Problems caused by improperly editing the Windows registry could render your computer/operating system unusable. Microsoft provides a wealth of critical information that you need to know about the registry in the Microsoft Knowledge Base.  Use the Microsoft® Registry Editor only at your own risk and only after backing up the registry as well as the system.dat and user.dat files as outlined for your operating system in the Microsoft Knowledge Base.  Additional information about the registry is also contained in the Help topics in the Microsoft Registry Editor.
