Revit: Trimble Connect Plug-in Randomly Creating 3D Views

Revit 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024

Issue:

Some Revit users report that when opening 2D views or sheets, multiple 3D views are randomly created without warning.  In most cases, several 3D views are created, with multiple entries shown in the Undo history reading, "Trimble Connect for Revit view creation".

Cause:

Trimble Connect v2.0.6 Plugin for Revit

Solution/Workaround:

Trimble has acknowledged this defect on their Community Forum.  Users can uninstall the Trimble Connect v2.0.6 for Revit plugin and download/install the previous version (v1.92.1).  The links can be found at the end of the forum post here.
