Where to Download Content Catalog Extension for Civil 3D

Issue:

Autodesk's Content Catalog (formerly Unifi) is available for subscribers to Autodesk Docs and allows administrators to manage, organize and share content with Revit, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D users in their organization.

Connecting to the catalog with these products requires that users download and install the "Content Catalog Extension".   Some users report that they are unable to locate the extension for Civil 3D.

Cause:

Both the Revit and AutoCAD Content Catalog extensions are readily found and available in the Autodesk Account (manage.autodesk.com) under the respective products on the Products and Services tab.   Here are the steps to locate the extensions under Revit and AutoCAD:

Revit:  Select View Details > Extensions

AutoCAD:  Select View Details > Extensions

When following these same steps for Civil 3D, the Content Catalog extension is not listed.

Solution:

The Content Catalog AutoCAD Extension found under AutoCAD is used both for AutoCAD and Civli 3D access.  The same functionality to insert content in both products from the catalog will be available using the same extension.
