Revit Project Browser or Properties panel is missing

Issue:
The Revit Project Browser or Properties panel is missing, even though the UI is enabled under User Interface settings.

Causes:
The panels have likely moved off-screen. This issue often occurs when accessing Revit via remote desktop or due to sudden screen resolution changes.

Solution:
There are several ways to fix this issue:

If using multiple monitors:

  • Unplug one of the monitors.

If the issue persists, try the following:

1.     Open Windows Display settings.

2.     Navigate to Multiple displays and change the settings to Duplicate these displays.

If the issue is not resolved, manually reset the user interface:

1.     Navigate to the following folder in Windows:

%APPDATA%\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit {Product Name}\ENU

2.     Rename UIState.dat file to UIState.OLD.

3.     Go to:

%APPDATA%\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit {Product Name}

4.     Rename the RevitUILayout.xml to RevitUILayout.old.
