Place from Vault Basic 2023 crashes Inventor

Issue:

Some users experience Inventor 2023 crashing on Open or Place from Vault Basic 2023.

The program crashes when scrolling through folders or files in the 'Select File From Vault' dialog box.

Causes:

Vault Basic Client 2023 updates newer than 2023.0.1 can cause the crashes.
Autodesk’s article confirming this:
Open or Place from Vault Basic Client 2023 with updates crashing Inventor

Inventor 2023 typically crashes in the default 'Details' view(with the Thumbnails column on).

Or in the Small, Medium or Large Icons views.

Solution:

Removing the 'Thumbnails' column can help:

If removing the Thumbnails column is not an option or doesn't prevent crashes, uninstall all the Vault Basic Client 2023 updates.

This will roll back Vault Basic Client 2023 to RTM(no updates).

Check your Vault Build under the Help menu.
