Navisworks Manage Not Responding

Issue:
Navisworks does not launch—when the application is opened, nothing happens.

Causes:
This issue is often caused by mismatched or corrupted .NET Framework components and/or Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable files.

Check Windows Event Viewer for an Application Error with code:

0xc0000005

Inspect the installed .NET Framework components—you may find their versions are not aligned:

  • ASP .NET Core Runtime
  • .NET Desktop Runtime
  • .NET Runtime

Solution:
To resolve the issue, ensure that all required .NET Framework components and C++ Redistributables are correctly installed and matched in version.

1.     Download .NET 9.0 (Linux, macOS, and Windows) | .NET

Be sure to install all required runtime components:

  • ASP .NET Core Runtime
  •  .NET Desktop Runtime
  • .NET Runtime

2.     Install the latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable:

Latest supported Visual C++ Redistributable downloads | Microsoft Learn

3.     Reboot the system after installation and try launching Navisworks again.
