"Invalid Configuration File" Autodesk Licensing Service

Issue:

When manually registering a product with the Autodesk Licensing Service you receive the Error: "Invalid Configuration File".

Cause:

Corrupted or invalid .pit file

Solution:

  • Confirm that you are using the correct .pit file for the product you are registering
  • Confirm that your command is using the correct product code and year.
  • Confirm that the syntax of your command is correct.

If the command is correct you may have a corrupted .pit file

  • Use a .pit file from another machine that has the software working correctly.
  • Download the software again and use the.pit file from the new download.
