Electrical: After changing the wd.env file to a new custom wd.env location paths stay the same

Issue:
Electrical: After changing the wd.env file to a new custom  wd.env location  paths stay the same.

Causes:
Default wd.env file

Solution:
You must rename the default wd.env file.
Then restart Electrical.

Example:

You have a custom wd.env file located on your network. You would like to use this wd.env file.
When you select this file, it opens however the paths stay the same.

  • After you select the new wd.env file from the new location.
  • Go to C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Acade 20xx\AeData
  • Rename the existing wd.env file to something like xxxwd.env (always keep the original in case you need to go back).
  • Restart Autodesk Electrical.

The paths should now match the custom wd.env file from the new location.
