Civil 3D 2026 will not Launch after updating to Windows 11 24H2

Issue: After updating to Windows 11 24H2 Civil 3D 2026 will not launch.

Solution:

  1. Open Windows Control Panel.
  2. Go to Programs and Features.
  3. Right cllick on each instance of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable and select 'Change'.
  4. Click 'Repair'
  5. Complete this for each C++ Redistributable.
  6. Once complete, restart your machine and try to launch Civil 3D.

Note: You can view a crash report from Windows in the Windows Event Viewer. A crash report with an error along the lines of "faulting module path C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\MSVCP140.dll" is referring to the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables.
