Issue: After updating to Windows 11 24H2 Civil 3D 2026 will not launch.
Solution:
- Open Windows Control Panel.
- Go to Programs and Features.
- Right cllick on each instance of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable and select 'Change'.
- Click 'Repair'
- Complete this for each C++ Redistributable.
- Once complete, restart your machine and try to launch Civil 3D.
Note: You can view a crash report from Windows in the Windows Event Viewer. A crash report with an error along the lines of "faulting module path C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\MSVCP140.dll
" is referring to the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables.
