AutoCAD Aerial Maps Do Not Match Google Maps

Issue:

You have Geolocated your AutoCAD Drawing and the Aerial Map does not appear to be current, when checked against Google Maps or Google Earth.

Causes:

Autodesk has partnered with Microsoft (Bing maps) for the imagery that Autodesk displays in their software.

Microsoft does not use the same satellites or services that Google does, so there are often situations where one has newer images available than the other service.

Solution:

There is not much that can be done from the Autodesk Perspective, as this is a Microsoft Issue.  The only option you would have is to go to Bing Maps and submit feedback that that location is out of date and hope that it gets updated in the near future.
