When collaborating in Revit, there may be need to host families on the walls or structure of a linked model, but this is not allowed for some Revit family categories.

When creating a Revit Template from an existing project, the general rule is to keep only elements/information that will be re-used on all/most new projects.

When inserting wall-hosted families as a Legend Component, there is an option to modify the host wall length, however, there is no way to change the host wall thickness in Floor Plan view.
