Civil 3D: Online Maps are not displayed when opening an existing file

Issue:
Civil 3D: Online Maps are not displayed when opening an existing file.
When you try to turn on online maps nothing is shown.
You may also see a blank location screen (See figure 1).

Causes:
Disabled Online Maps and used the remember option (see figure 2).

Solution:
How to turn Online Maps back on
•    Go to Options (Right click on the command line and select Options).
•    Go to the System Tab (See Figure 3).
•    Select Hidden Messages.
•    Place a check Mark next to both AutoCAD and Geographic Location (See Figure 4).
•    Select OK.
•    Select OK.

Now you should be able to use Online Maps again.
