AUDVISUALFIDELITY- Substation Design Suite: Physical for AutoCAD

The AUDVISUALFIDELITY command available in Substation Design Suite: Physical for AutoCAD toolkit can swap the geometry of all features in a drawing at once to a specified (lower or higher) level of visual fidelity (a similar concept to level of detail) to increase performance or increase the detail of large station models. Note that you can raise the visual fidelity after the design has been completed (at a faster but rougher resolution) to create 2D prints at a higher resolution with full accuracy.

·       Model parts can have multiple (parallel) associated blocks (3D geometry) for different levels of visual fidelity.

·       The three levels of visual fidelity are:

                                I.            High Visual Fidelity

                              II.            Medium Visual Fidelity

                             III.            Low Visual Fidelity

·       You can access these commands via Substation tab> Visual Tools panel as shown in the Figure.

·       This is enabled via the VISUALFIDELITY variable in AUDOPTIONS>Variables or a custom drawing property (DWGPROPS) named Visual Fidelity.

·       Run the AUDVISUALFIDELITY command and pick your desired level/resolution (three default choices).

·       If preferred, you can configure custom levels in AUDOPTIONS>General Layout>Visual Fidelity Levels.
