Issue:
"The drawing file contains data produced in a newer version of Vehicle Tracking"
This happens traditionally when opening a file.
Causes:
- Newer Version of the Civil 3D Object Enabler is required
- Vehicle Tracking Data has been Opened, Modified, or Created in a newer version.
Solution:
Note: Vehicle Tracking files do not support backwards compatibility.
- Update your version of Vehicle Tracking to the version the file was Opened, Modified, or Created in
Login to your Autodesk Account to download the newer version
- Login
- Select “All Products and Services”.
- Find “Vehicle Tracking”.
- Select “View Downloads”.
- You can then download the version that matches the file format.
- Install the version of Vehicle Tracking Object Enabler that is required for the version the file was Opened, Modified, or Created in.

- Login
- Select “Product Updates” on the left of the site.
- Select Release Date in the upper right and select “All”.
- In the search field type “Vehicle Tracking Object Enabler”.
- You will then see the download link.
